Paris has been named Official Host Destination for the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2026, with the Gala Ceremony to take place in the French capital on 9 December 2026 as the culmination of the two-day World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance Summit.
The announcement marks a significant strengthening of the strategic partnership between the Awards and the Alliance, bringing together two of the sector’s most influential platforms into one defining moment for sustainable travel and hospitality.
The World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance Summit will convene senior leaders from across the global hospitality value chain for two days of best practice, seminars, workshops, thought leadership and practical action. The Summit will culminate in the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards Gala Ceremony, where the 2026 winners will be revealed and celebrated.
Together, the Summit and Awards will create a powerful global platform for industry leaders, destinations, brands, investors, innovators and changemakers committed to accelerating sustainable progress across travel and hospitality.
Paris becomes the third host destination for the Awards, following Belize and Dubai, and brings further international profile and authority to the programme. As the host city of the Paris Agreement and one of the world’s most influential capitals for culture, diplomacy, tourism and sustainability, Paris provides a fitting stage for the next chapter of the Awards.
Justin Cooke, Executive Vice President, World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, says: “As we enter the third edition of the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards, Paris joins Belize and Dubai as an iconic host destination for the programme. It is a city with exceptional global resonance, and a powerful connection to the sustainability agenda.
“Bringing the Awards into the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance Summit is a natural and important next step in our strategic partnership. The Summit draws together the sector’s most influential voices for two days of focused dialogue, leadership and practical progress – and the Awards provide the perfect culmination, recognising and celebrating the individuals and organisations turning that ambition into impact.”
He adds: “Together, the Awards and the Summit create a compelling global platform, one that informs, inspires and celebrates progress across sustainable hospitality, travel and tourism. With the support of our advisory board, our partners and the Alliance’s extraordinary global network, our ambition is clear: to build the most credible platform in the world for recognising those accelerating change across the sector.”
The Awards programme is run in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, whose partners and members represent more than 66,000 hotels, 8 million rooms, 300 brands, and over 100 supply chain and strategic partners worldwide.
Glenn Mandziuk, CEO, World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, says: “We are delighted that the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards will provide the culmination of our 2026 World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance Summit in Paris. The Summit is the key moment in the Alliance calendar, bringing our partners, members and the wider hospitality value chain together around practical action and shared responsibility.
“Concluding with the Awards allows us to move from insight and collaboration to recognition and celebration, shining a light on the organisations and individuals already delivering measurable impact across hospitality, travel and tourism.”
Entries for the 2026 World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards will open on 1 June 2026, with pioneering sustainable travel and hospitality organisations worldwide invited to apply.
The 2026 programme will reflect the full breadth of the sustainable travel and tourism economy, from destinations, community initiatives and eco hotels to responsible sourcing, clean water, conservation, innovation and measurable impact.
